"A Christian without a church is like an athlete without a team."

"But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be?"
-- 1 Corinthians 12:18-19

As an interdenominational ministry, FCA strongly urges each person involved to faithfully attend and serve the local church of his or her choice.

We are thankful for the partnership of these local churches, who support us through their financial contributions, prayers and by volunteering their time.

What Are Community Ministries?

The dramatic growth of club, league and church sports, presents a significant opportunity for FCA. The FCA Community Ministry includes our non-school-based FCA Ministries which are made possible through partnerships with local churches, businesses, parents and volunteers. To address this opportunity, we've established many sports-specific ministries with FCA including golf, lacrosse, baseball, motocross, fitness and endurance.

These ministries not only reach out to the community, but also allow the community to invest in athletes and coaches.

Community Ministries include: Stewardship Ministries, Adult Ministries, Sport-Specific Ministries, Membership, Urban Initiatives, Global Sports Development, Clinics, Product and Resource Development, and Professional Athlete Ministries.

 Sports Specific Ministries

Sport-Specific Ministry FCA Sport-Specific Ministry (SSM) impacts specific sports communities for Christ by ministering to coaches and athletes united around a particular sport. The opportunities to impact athletes and coaches are growing every day as an astounding 44 million youth under the age of 18 participate in organized youth sports in America*. The Sport-Specific Ministry strategy provides avenues to serve coaches and athletes in the sport(s) where their greatest passion lies.  Click the picture to visit the website.

A Note of Thanks

The following is an email message sent to Mr. Todd Ouellette, who serves on the NWAL FCA Leadership Board after an FCA Staff Member spoke at a Royal Ambassor event.

I want to thank you again for introducing me to Roger. His message on Monday night was as powerful as I have even seen.

There were 117 boys ages 7 to 14 in attendance. We had 34 professions of faith on Monday. One decision was made in the ranking initiation station and 33 at the camp fire service where FCA staff person spoke and gave a specialized invitation to these boys.

It was later determined by the Colbert-Lauderdale Baptist association to be a camp record for decisions made. It is important to note the camp record spans 50 years and numbers do count for the Kingdom of Christ.

I agree with your statement about not a better bang for the buck in support of the FCA ministry. We appreciate the FCA staff working our camp into their schedule especially in this busy time of the year.

My Best,
