Local Camps

is the 2018 FCA camp theme.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.”  -- 2 Timothy 4:7

2018 North Alabama Power Sports Camp
The Decatur Area Power Sports Camp was held at Cedar Ridge Middle School, June 18-22, with more than 170 campers in attendance. Campers participated in baseball, basketball, cheerleading, fishing, golf, soccer, softball, and volleyball.  It was a week of inspiration and perspiration for the campers, huddle leaders, volunteers and staff!
The camp was full of high-energy songs, quiet time in the Word of God with Huddle Leaders, fast paced competitions, sports-specific instructions from area coaches and a spiritual message every day.  Forty-two (42) campers made decisions to make Jesus their Lord and Savior during camp, with 10 campers rededicating their lives to Jesus.

Below are pictures from the camp!

Be a Huddle Leader
or Camp Staff Volunteer

Are you a college student looking for a rewarding and challenging summer ministry opportunity? More than 1,000 college student-athletes will serve as Huddle Leaders this summer at FCA Camp. They will work directly with a small group of campers. The Huddle Coordinator selects these leaders for the Camp; a trained and certified FCA Camp Leader. Each Huddle Leader is carefully handpicked, through careful screening, which includes an in-depth application process which includes references. Most are involved in the FCA ministry on their college campuses and many were once campers themselves. They are dedicated to Christ, not only at Camp, but in their everyday lives. Once selected, these leaders take part in a two-day on-site training program, in addition to the preparation work they do before arriving at Camp. Be a Huddle Leader!

Our 50-year camping history allows FCA to have the highest quality staff! Our 1,000-plus instructional staff have been carefully selected and consist of FCA staff, current collegiate and high school coaches, professional athletes, both current and former, and collegiate athletes. They bring years of coaching and performance experience to FCA Camps and serve as role models for campers, both on and off the field of competition. Be Camp Staff or Volunteer!

What are Leadership Camps?

FCA Leadership Camps are for students, Huddle Coaches and volunteers who desire to serve as leaders on their local campuses. The camp focuses on teaching practical skills for Christian growth, the development as an effective campus leader and the training for spiritual, organizational and motivational tools for use in the FCA Campus Ministry.

Power Leadership Training Camp

Power Leadership Training Camps are for Junior and Senior High students who want to make a difference for Christ on their campus.  This weekend camp is designed to empower students at the start of the school year with a keynote speaker, worship team, team competition, mock huddle practices and much more!!

Sports-Specific Camps

...are for athletes and coaches who want to develop their athletic skills. Outstanding instruction, skill development and intense competition prepare the camper for future athlete competition. Sports Camps include Sport-Specific camps in which the camper selects one sport for the entire camp experience, and Mulit-Sport camps in which the camper is trained in a specific sport and competes in a variety of sports as a Huddle.

Team Camps

...are designed to impact coaches and athletes for Christ through team competition. Coaches enroll their players to attend camp as a team. It is a great outreach opportunity and coaches benefit greatly by evaluating their team’s talent. Team Camps serve the coaches by providing a great camp experience for their players while building team unity.
