Race Course Description

Single Track dirt trails after a start on a wider gravel path. Some flats, hills, roots and rocks! This course will test your courage and endurance while taking you into the great forested outdoors! The 2 & 1 mile runs are on the Battle Cry 1 Mile course so anticipate a challenge.

This is a 4 mile race with an obstacles option as well as a 2 mile and 1 mile option or addition. The 2 & 1 mile are open for all ages and utilizes the course called the 'Battle Cry 1 Mile'. Racers may run the 4 mile course to feel a true trail run or push it to add the obstacles or hold the burn by adding the 2 or 1 mile addition. Don't anticipate super fast mile-splits as this course will test your will and skill but all with a thrill!

The obstacle course run is over 4 miles of our forested trails interlaced with 10+ obstacles to provide a trying but fun experience!  The course incorporates a couple of obstacles from our US Marine Corp-based obstacle course and several others from our own imaginations! Some might consider the trail itself to be an obstacle as it has a good variety of terrain to include: rolling paths, climbs, rocks, roots, ditch crossings and small bridges! Most of this is single-track and all of it is in the forest.

Suggestion for families running together, as the 2 mile is 2 laps of the 1 mile some runners may want to run the 1st lap of the 2 mile with a younger or new runner and then push the 2nd loop for the full experience.

Race Approach

Chip Timing by the River City Runners (www.rivercityrunners.org) to catch your Finish. We will start on a wider gravel & dirt path for the first half mile or so and then the majority of the trail will be a dirt single track. This trail will provide a challenge to all with gravel, dirt, roots, rocks, maybe a bit of water, some flats and some hills.

Race Entry Fee through July 24th*:

- 4 Mile with obstacles: $35               

- 4 Mile: $25               

- 2 Mile: $15               

- 1 Mile: $12   

- 4 & 2 Mile or 4 & 1 Mile: $30**       

- 4 Mile with obstacles & 2 or 1 Mile: $40**

*Fee Increases by $10 for entries after July 24th, 2023.

**Note the 2 & 1 mile runs will be coincidental so pick one to go with your 4 mile and make it a double.
