Coaches are at the Heart of FCA

Our role is to minister to these men and women by encouraging and equipping them to know and serve Jesus Christ. FCA ministers to coaches through Bible studies, staff contacts, prayer support, discipleship and mentoring, Behind the Bench (a program for coaches wives), resources, outreach events, national and local conventions, conferences and retreats.

Our purpose is to empower and equip Christian athletic leaders to minister to coaches, helping them to live and coach with biblical principles through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

FCA Ministry Specific to Female Coaches

A Female Coach's Influence

"Women Coaches matter for a variety of reasons. Research shows that same sex role models positively influence self-perceptions. They challenge stereotypes about gender and leadership and offer diverse perspectives, insight and advice to their athletes. One hundred percent of male athletes have had a male coaching role model during their athletic careers, to their benefit; young women likewise need and deserve more same sex role models.”
